Faithfulness Counts

Many people are concerned about their diet today, but not for the reasons that concerned Daniel and his companions. They wanted to honor God and His covenant with Israel in the midst of captivity in a pagan nation. Daniel: The Historical Context

The Book of Daniel begins with a crisis. The city of Jerusalem was under siege by the armies of King Nebuchadnezzar. Sacred articles from the Temple were carted off to Babylon, as were many Jewish leaders and their families. These were difficult days for God's chosen people.
